The French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder has been actively promoting distinctive and feminine individualism with her unmistakable creations since 2013. When doing so, she combines progressive cuts with classic elegance, experiments with opposites and plays with the beauty of an unconventional approach. The designer uses a wide variety of di erent silhouettes, buckles and leather, ne details and a symbiosis of avant-garde and ready-to-wear to create pieces with an extravagant appearance. When designing her Spring | Summer 2018 collection, which is being showcased in the impres- sive shell of the Berlin City Palace, she used sources of inspiration such as Russian dolls and orthopaedic children’s corsets. This new collection is de ned by elements such as oral lacework, glossy nishes and denim material.
