Facebook photos from Mykonos, Instagram stories from Ibiza and Snapchats from Portofino. At the moment it feels like absolutely everyone is spending all their free time at the beach or the beach club. In this new DESIGNER TRAVEL segment, DER BERLINER MODE SALON is asking its designers where they are currently on holiday, what things are definitely not to be missed, and what items they always take with them when travelling. Warning: Reading this may make you want to go on holiday!

Whenever we travel, we always take… Huge sunglasses, colourful scarves to keep us warm in the plane or protect us from the sun, and a friend to share all the beautiful moments.

During the flight, we spend our time… Talking, leafing through magazines and observing our fellow travellers.

Our favourite restaurant… We had an amazing meal at Farma. There they only use products from the farm next door to create their dishes. It’s a great location between the land and sea, you never want to leave. Nikolas Taverna was also great. Since 1967 they have been serving super delicious, traditional dishes right on Parga beach. You can also buy colourful t-shirts like the ones the waiters wear for €10, which make a great souvenir.

Our favourite bar… In Greece, people usually eat quite late so we often stayed in the restaurant for so long that we just collapsed into bed straight after.

Our favourite beach… The sea at Agia Anna beach was simply beautiful, and from there you can walk straight over the rocks to the restaurant Spilia, which has some amazing food. Alemagou was also great for people watching, and the food was delicious. If you go here, make sure you call and reserve a sunbed in advance, because they fill up quickly!

Not to be missed… order a rosé, sit on the beach, look at the sea and appreciate just how lucky you are.

Our favourite store… Boutique Luisa in the new Nammos Village on Nammos beach, of course. We had our summer pop-up store here and a few of our items are still available.

The ultimate summer hit is… Yet again… La Vie En Rose by Grace Jones

After our holiday, we had 0 unread emails… This is often the downside to being self-employed. You’re never really off work, and you have to keep regularly checking your emails even when you’re on holiday. But it is also exciting because you’re always happy that so many great things are happening.
